[Gbrooks-promo] George Brooks Aspada dates in Austin, Berkeley and Fayetteville!

Hello dear friends --

So wonderful to see so many of you at the Pratham fundraising gala and SF
Music Day this past weekend.

Here is a reminder that we have dates coming up this weekend in *Austin,
Texas*, next week in *Berkeley CA *and *Fayetteville, Arkansas.*  Due to
visa issues beyond our control and beyond our understanding, Selvaganesh
Vinayakram will not be performing on these dates with Aspada....but we have
two fantastic drummers filling in for him.

In *Austin* this weekend the wonderful Cuban drummer* Dafnis Prieto* will
join me,* Kai Eckhar*dt and *Osam Ezzeldin* at Bates recital Hall. Dafnis
is a MacArthur award winner and multi Grammy nominee, who has toured India
with my group Summit and played with us at Stanford Jazz.

In *Berkeley and Fayetteville*, the Bay Area's own *David Rokeach* will be
filling the drum chair.
David and I go WAY back to my early days here on the west coast when we
were both getting schooled in the band off the Dynamic Miss Faye Carol.
Since those days David has performed extensively with Ray Charles, Aretha
Franklin and a veritable who's who of the jazz and R+B worlds. AND David is
the drummer on my Moment Records recordings "Lasting Impression" and "Night
Spinner".  So we are very looking forward to this reunion.
