From scrowlist at mailman.lmi.net Mon Jul 11 15:57:41 2005 From: scrowlist at mailman.lmi.net (scrowlist@mailman.lmi.net) Date: Mon Jul 11 14:57:51 2005 Subject: [scrowlist] Comic-con appearances Message-ID: <200507112157.j6BLvfK8012188@drtboi.rdsl.lmi.net> Hello all, We are attending Comic-con again this year. Rather than sitting all day at the SLG booth, as we did the last two years, we have scheduled appearances, because we are huge superstars and have many things to do with our time other than take up space in the SLG booth that some of the 38 other SLG creators who are showing up this year could use. If that sentence was too stupid for you to understand, what I meant to say is, more creators are showing up at the SLG booth than ever, this year, so to avoid having to take over the whole convention, SLG is giving us schedules. Jen and I will be appearing at 11:00am to 12:30am, and 3:00pm to 4:30pm thursday through sunday. Jen will probably be taking off about 15 minutes early on friday, because she's speaking in the Stange Eggs panel. Speaking of which, here's some info about the Strange Eggs panel: 4:30-5:30 SLG: Strange Eggs Editor Chris Reilly along with contributors Ben Towle (Farewell, Georgia), Jennifer Feinberg (Little Scrowlie), and Steve Alquist (Strange Eggs), discuss the makings of the new hit SLG anthology Strange Eggs. Room 7B That's room 7B. Jen will be too busy to notice, but I'll be there taking notes, and I expect to see everyone there. Aside from Comic-con, issue #10 of Little Scrowlie came out... about a month ago, I guess. It's the first issue of the last story line in the Little Scrowlie series, and it takes place in the suburbs, which is just about as exciting as you can get. Cats in the suburbs. Where do we come up with this stuff? You may have missed some of the issues leading up to #10. If that's the case, you are not limited to searching the back stock for some $500 NM back issue, though that may seem to be the case. Rather, you can purchase the second Little Scrowlie trade paperback, "Little Scrowlie: Dawn of the Fashion Victims." Or at least, you will be able to in mid-August. In addition to compiling issues five through nine, "Dawn of the Fasion Victims" has a brand new 10 page Scrowlie story. That's pretty much all the news from Scrowlsville. Feel free to email us (jen@chi-jen.com or todd@bitslinger.net) with any questions. -Todd
