BTW, as a final followup...I finally learned what the "cheapo" mix
console was that I was originally thinking about: the DBD AirOne.  Their
website is all in Spanish, though.

In all honesty, though, I suspect the Broadcast Tools mixer is probably
a better one.  The only time I saw an AirOne in the flesh was about four
years ago, and at the time I think it was just over $3000 in price,
which was VERY cheap (comparatively)...but it wasn't all that great a
console, really.
