[NFCB] hardware for Live Remotes

We also use Tieline G3 Commanders at WFMU and they work pretty well. A good
thing about them is that they can be purchased to work in mono with regular
phone lines (POTS lines), but you can get an ISDN card in them so that they
become ISDN units. You can also put an extra card in them so that you can
get stereo with two POTS lines. They aint cheap though - they cost about
$2500-$3000 a piece, and you do need two of them. You can also get a
wireless card for them and a battery pack, and then you can do remotes
without being tied down to wires. But I've never tried that.
You have to be careful to NEVER attach a Tieline Commander to a digital
phone system. Merely connecting it up to a digital telephone system can
break the Tieline and cause you to send it back to the factory for a
rebuild.
