Dear Members of the John Gardner Fellowship Association (JGFA):

In the next few weeks, we will kick off the year with a JGFA newsletter that will get you up to speed on all the recent activities of the JGFA and give you some insight into the plans for 2008, including the JGFA reunion that will take place in September.

In addition to updates from the officers and other volunteers, we’d like to again solicit updates from all members of the group through this email. Please take 5-10 minutes to jot down a quick update to let folks know what's up in your life. Feel free to write about whatever is important to you – a personal milestone, a family event, a professional achievement, etc. This is your opportunity to share whatever thoughts you want to share with the membership. The updates will be published in the newsletter as sent to us without any editing.

Everyone is busy, so we’ve found that a deadline helps get everyone to focus on sending something to us in timely manner. Please provide your update by midnight PT on Monday, February 18. We will then publish the newsletter in the second half of February.

When you provide your submission, please respond to all the people included in the CC line of this email, including Amanda Mendoza, Megan Swezey Fogarty, and me. Amanda is a student at Stanford who providing administrative support for JGFA’s activities in 2008. Megan is the Director of Post Graduate and Alumni Program at the Haas Center at Stanford. Both have graciously agreed to help organize and distribute the newsletter this time around. Thanks to both of them!

Also, if anyone would like to volunteer to be the speaker for the next JGFA Roundtable, please let us know. We are excited to get your feedback on roundtable and your contributions to the newsletter!

Regards,

Sean
