established in 1969 as a community free clinic in 
East Los Angeles. A dynamic and expanding 
organization, AltaMed has become the largest 
nonprofit family clinic system and provider of 
health and social services to Latino seniors in 
California.
AltaMed is in the quiet phase of a large Capital 
Campaign and we are looking for a mission-driven 
professional who will roll up sleeves and dive 
into the position with enthusiasm. Candidate must 
have a demonstrated strong work ethic, anticipate 
next steps, and take initiative. Requires 
excellent judgment, team-orientation, and 
flexibility in responding to changing priorities.
Requires:
At least 3 years' experience in successful 
private sector cultivation/ grantsmanship in 
health or social services; Bachelor's degree; 
excellent written communications; skilled at 
planning and budget development; keen cultural 
competency in working with Latino communities; 
Spanish fluency a plus.
Duties:
	*	Research and identify corporate 
and foundation funding prospects
	*	Strategize and conceptualize proposal requests
	*	Liaise with AltaMed program staff 
to gather information and communicate initiatives 
to funders
	*	Draft proposals, reports and other funder correspondence
	*	Prepare senior management for cultivation calls and site visits
	*	Grants monitoring and management
	*	Other development team activities, as needed
