[Jgfamembers] Calling all college-connected Gardners!

Hello, Gardner Community!

I wanted to send the group a quick note to ask if you
know anyone involved in the college application
process - a high school guidance counselor, a college
admissions counselor, a community program director, or
even a kid who's applying to college soon.

I'm expanding my free college-bound mentoring program,
“First in the Family,” into a new opportunity that is
working to provide greater access to college to ALL
students, with outreach towards first-generation
applicants as well as low- and middle-income students
who fear they cannot afford an excellent education,
ethnic students trying to find a strong fit for their
desires and needs, straight-A students who are
shooting too low because they don't know what's
available to them - you name it; we have a program for
it.

Right now, we are trying to build an extensive
database of personal contacts in this field -- people
with one degree of separation that we can call or
e-mail and talk about our program by saying,
"So-and-so said I should contact you..." Do you know
anyone like that, and would you be willing to forward
their information to me? Or you can feel free to
forward this message to them.

Also, if you are involved in any kind of
college-access or education enrichment program
yourself, please let me know and maybe we can find a
way to work together.

This is such an exciting time, and I know we are going
to make an extraordinary difference in this
