Dear colleagues,

It's that time of year again, time to do a little volunteer work in 
our local communities, and re-connect with other John Gardner Fellows 
for renewal purposes. Last year, we had 3 events.

On April 22, Thaddeus Ferber and others organized the Spring Makeover 
day at Oak Hill Youth Center for the Fellows in the Washington, D.C. 
area.
In New York, we volunteered at the Osborne Association on May 20th 
organized by Dana Kaplan and Annie Bird.
In San Francisco, thanks to Anu Menon, Liz Butler Steyer and Elan 
Nguyen, a group of us socialized and worked together at the San 
Francisco Food Bank on June 17th.
We had very positive feedback from Fellows that these regional events 
gave us an opportunity to get together and discuss what's going on in 
our lives both professionally and personally.  So many thanks to last 
year's organizers!

Volunteers needed:

We're looking for organizers for this year's public service events, 
one in each geographical area and hopefully expanding to other 
regions, L.A.? If you're interested, please contact me and Joanna 
Levitt at <mailto:jolevitt at gmail.com>jolevitt at gmail.com, preferably 
in the next week or two. Opportunities like this only happens when we 
all get involved. Thank you.
