[Jgfamembers] John Gardner Fellowship Association (JGFA) Update

Dear Members of the John Gardner Fellowship Association (JGFA):

 

As we close out 2006, we are excited to introduce two new JGFA initiatives
aimed at facilitating communication within the membership.  

 

First, we have established an email list service that each of you can use to
communicate broadly to the entire membership.  There are no limitations on
the content of those communications but we do ask that you respect that
there are over 150 members of this list and tailor your messages
appropriately.  In general, we hope this email list service will provide a
forum to promote the mission of JGFA and allow all of you to reconnect with
others in the membership.

 

To use the email list service, simply address your email message to the
following address:  jgfamembers at jgfa.net

 

The email will go out immediately to the membership as long as you are an
active member of the email list service.  Recipients will include former
fellows, some former mentors, and the current Board of Directors for the
JGFA.  If you have any challenge sending an email to the group, please feel
free to email me directly at sean at reply.com so I can help you with the
matter.  If you are receiving this email, you should have no problem sending
through the system.  If you unsubscribe to the email list service, then the
system will not recognize you and your message will be caught by the spam
filter.

 

Second, we plan to publish a quarterly email newsletter that provides
everyone with an update on the activities of the association as well as an
update on the people within the association.  To kick that off, we are
soliciting updates from everyone through this email.  Please take 5 minutes
to jot down a quick update to let folks know what's up in your life.  We
encourage both personal and professional updates, so everyone has something
to share.  The updates will be published as sent to us without any editing.

 

The first quarterly email newsletter will be sent the week of Dec. 11.
Please provide me with your update by midnight PT on Sunday Dec. 10.  I will
then compile the submissions and have something off to the group later that
week. 

 

We are excited to provide the members of JGFA with these new communication
tools.  Please help us make this a success by using them!
