As many of you may know, guitar innovator Larry Coryell died on February
19th. Larry was a dear friend, collaborator and mentor of mine for nearly
20 years. I first met Larry in 1998 when we were both invited to perform in
San Francisco with Hariprasad Chaurasia, Swapan Chaudhuri and Vikku
Vinayakram. That musical meeting was recorded and released by Navras
Records and ultimately led to the formation of Bombay Jazz.

I am honored to join Larry's son Julian, Ralphe Armstrong and Gayelynn
McKinney for this special tribute show in Australia. I have been immersing
myself in Larry's music (which is vast) in preparation for this performance
and I look forward to sharing some of that experience with his fans.
