Here is a Monday reminder about our upcoming performance on

*Thursday the 29th of September *at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley.



ASPADA— our new quartet with "Remember Shakti" percussionist *V.
Selvaganesh*; piano virtuoso, *Osam Ezzeldin*; and brilliant bassist, *Kai
Eckhardt*, will be performing with guest vocalist *Mahesh Kale.*



*Mahesh* *Kale* is a north Indian classical vocalist of extraordinary
abilities. He lives here in the Bay Area, but is in constant demand in
India where he just received the National Film Award for Best Male Playback
Singer from the country’s president.



You may have seen Mahesh perform with my group Summit a few years back or
recently with Zakir Hussain in Fairfax. If haven’t heard Mahesh in concert
you are in for a teat. Check out the video below where he is singing a
jugalbandi (duet) with Rahul Deshpande.



Having south India’s premiere percussionist and north India’s rising star
vocalist here in Berkeley at the same time is certainly cause for a musical
celebration…

and that is just what will be going down at the beautiful Freight and
Salvage.
