Hello friends -



I have been having a wonderful time in India - performing and recording,
catching up with with old friends and making connections with new
collaborators. Highlights included performing with Shujaat Khan, Vikku
Vinayakram and Prasanna at the Sirpur Festival; recording and performing
with Indian Ocean in Delhi and Pune; and performing with Kadri Gopalnath
and the Vinayakram family in Chennai.



I have two shows left in India before I return to the states.



*Tonight*, in Pune for Vijay Ghate's Taal Chakra Festival, we will present
a tribute to the late U. Srinivas featuring mandolinist U. Rajesh, Sridar
Parthasarathy, Mukul Dongre, Roop Kumar Rathod, with Kathak choreography by
Shama Bhate of Nadroop Kathak. The program is begins at 6pm the Ganesh Kala
Krida.



*February 1st* I will be performing in Kolkata with Avra Bannerjee and
Ragamorphism for the release of his new album Ride on Melody and Rhythm.



*Then back to the US with a very special program...*



On February 22nd I will be performing at Yoshi's in Oakland with my dear
friend and mentor Terry Riley. Our last performance at Yoshi's was almost
two years ago to the day and it stands as a career highlight for me.



Terry and I have been performing together for thirty years and have
developed a remarkable sensitivity and subtle almost telepathic
communication.
