I wanted to let you know that I will be joining an extraordinary group of
musicians at Yoshi's Oakland next Tuesday to benefit Tower of Power
guitarist Bruce Conte,
who is fighting leukemia.

This stellar program is organized by Santana keyboard wizard (and my former
Etta James bandmate) Dave Mathews and features some of the Bay Area's best
and funkiest musicians from *Tower of Power, Santana, Malo, Azteca, Cold
Blood, The Loading Zone and Boz Skaggs *--You get the picture???

Mic Gillette, Linda Tillery, Ray Obiedo, Pete Escovedo, Tony Lindsay, Chris
Cain and Rick Stevens are just some of the luminaries who will be giving
their all for the cause.

*This will be some serious groove music for a very worthy cause.*
